No special adhesive needed, you will need to clean the tiles and de-grease them, sugar soap will help do this.
A tip, is to mix sand with PVA and coat your tiles with this, giving you a coarse surface to tile to and remember that the tiles you are tiling to must be secure and not loose. Also stagger the new tiles so the joints are not matched to the old!
