Evening all
I've got as far as I can go with the interweb and now even Google is failing me. In desperate need of some advice!
I had planned for my bathroom to be tiled with tumbled marble, weight of 27.5kg + 3-4kg for adhesive and grout. One wall is a new false wall with bare plasterboard, so fine for a 32kg limit. The two other walls are breeze block, cement render and then plaster skim. Everything I have read is that the render will take 40-50kg on its own, but add a plaster skim and its reduced to 20kg which is no good.
How do I proceed? Do I remove the skim? Can I do such a thing? Adding new plasterboard over the top is not an option as the bathroom is *tiny* and literally every mm counts.
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks
