I have just installed 3 spotlights going up my stairs in which i daisy chained them off the exsisting light and worked perfecctly so i decided to have another 3 across my landing. I daisy chained them the same way but there was another cable to red wires and a earth. I tried wiring this to the lights and the fuse tripped so i disconnected and the fuse still trips.Does any one know where im going wrong.

your description is hazy at best, but i'll bet you've got a switch wire mixed up there somewhere. Try "for reference" for diagrams of switch wiring.
