Getting an extension built. I've got window reveals with an exposed steel lintel under the inner block coarse, and thinking ahead to plastering, I'm worried about future fitting of blinds inside the window reveal, what they would fix to? Thus I'm contemplating lining the top of the reveal with timber, (ply/OSB) to give something for any blind fixing screws something to purchase upon.
Is this sort of thing done, or am I overthinking? Is there a better solution?
