Looks like a nice characterful floor. Why not buy an old Persian rug from Ebay for a couple of hundred quid and slap that down?

It's a bedroom, so will mostly have a bed and wardrobe in it!
But now my wife has seen it, and seen the problems dust and mould causes me, she has suggested we rip out all the carpets in the other rooms!
Think I need to upgrade my toolbox...

The advantage with non-fitted carpets, or large rugs, is that you can remove them for cleaning and beating. I hate fitted carpets.
