I want to change my Central Heating and Domestic controls to something a little more sophisticated to my existing Wicks mechanical two on/two off device. What make would you recommend for this and how complicated is it to connect on the wiring side from my existing setup? Thanks in anticipation and

Best wishes from,

What have you got at the moment and what do you hope to achieve.
A better description of your existing system would help.
Boiler type, other system controls etc.

Thanks for the reply 45yearsagasman. I have a Potterton Prima F with Flexcon 12/5 unit using a motorised Y valve I believe for Domestic, Radiators and combined Domestic/Radiators switching. I'm trying to achieve more control over the Domestic mainly as I'm limited to a minimum 1 hour for each on my mechanical Wicks switch control. Looking for perhaps 30 minute bursts two or three times a day for the Domestic and a three times On/Off for the Radiators in the winter.

Why not buy an Honeywell 92E digital roomstat, you can set the room temperature to what you want through the day and night and forget it.

Thanks for that doitall, but I also want to be able to programme the domestic cylinder.

There's plenty of choices for programmers, The Honeywell 9000 series for example.

Most are a straight swap.
