Hello,

I bought a Ideal Isar combi boiler (i know, bad move), it has been working fine but it didnt come with a timeswitch to control the central heating.

Can i purchase any timeswitch to operate the boiler? If so which one would you recommend??

Would i need to buy a thermostat also??

Can i do this myself??

Thanx for your help

Most boilers just have 2 terminals which are connected together to allow the boiler to operate. Therefore most timers and thermostats would be suitable.
The only real issue is whether the boiler uses 230v switching or some other lower voltage.

Installing heating control wiring is notifiable, therefore although you could do this yourself it will most likely be cheaper to pay a member of a competent persons scheme to install and notify for you.
