We have palmed the three terrors off to Mrs Secure's folks and they're now enjoying the Lancashire countryside.

We've enjoyed (yes, enjoyed) being able to tidy the house. Normally, all our weekend is devoted to the kids and the house stays a tip.

It's great to be able to tidy up and chuck stuff out.

We need to train them to help out really.

Had a nice paneer Rogan Josh tonight.

Now off to bed early. No kids to despatch: Hurray!

It didn't start well. Having been up and about since 5am on Friday and flying from Orlando at 5.30pm on the same day, we arrived back in Scotland at 5.50am on Saturday morning. On the way home, called in at my M-I-Ls and while the wife and kids snatched a few hours sleep I spent the time blocking off an alcove in her new kitchen. Finally arrived home at 3pm and although exhausted, put off going to bed until 11.30pm. Woke up sometime during the night needing the toilet, opened a door and found myself in someones walk-in wardrobe. Opened another door and looked into the corridor of a hotel I didn't recognise and so closed the door and woke Mrs Bolo up to ask where the toilet was. She led me back into the hall and opened a door which turned out to be a toilet door. "That could have been the door to anyone's room" I said and she replied "We're at home now".

This morning Mrs B admitted that when I woke her up, she hadn't a clue where she was either and showing me where the toilet was, was simply sheer luck.

So what have we done today? Laughed and laughed and laughed at the things that happen when you are totally exhausted and suffering from jet-lag. Imagine thinking that your upstairs hall was not in fact your hall but the hall of some hotel that you did not recognise. I'm beginning to think that I'mamartian.

Got up at 8.15, took the dog a walk then wen't to a mates house to fit skirtings to his living room. (just put a solid oak floor down for him) Left at 4 pm, quick shower and change then off to a BBQ at the step sons. Back home and just played TW online. Off to bed very shortly now as I'm back up at half seven.
