Since I replaced the syphon in my toilet, when its flushed, it takes some time to get to full force, and it seems to flush off-centre, spinning the contents of the pan round more than getting rid of them!

Any ideas? The cistern fills to the same level as before.

Something has blocked one of the ports where the water divides left and right under the syphon. If it's a close coupled you'll need to take the cistern off, otherwise you may be able to take the flush pipe off. Then start poking around with a piece of wire etc to see if you can clear the blockage.
