Tommy Robinson flees UK

Why do you think that is?
Regardless, you'd be more minded to keep your nose clean in that case. He's not alone on the planet, when it comes to trumpeting ones presence.
Have you just woken up - go and have a coffee and come back when you make sense.

Simple, would others have been treated the same, or has he had "special justice" ?
Well that is what you tried to find out - has he ever been found guilty by a jury as he says in that vid and in filboys quote he found. Has he even faced a jury. -- This

Speaking outside court after the hearing, Robinson said: “I’ve been given now the opportunity to have a jury trial. I’ve never had that.
“I want to be tried by twelve members of the British public. I want them to hear the evidence in this case.”

So is it true what TR says or not

No not really But knowing how much he is scrutinised and fact checked I doubt he would try and get away with such an easy claim to check --- have you checked

In his more recent quote above, he may be trying to mislead, but without telling an outright lie. He says:

Speaking outside court after the hearing, Robinson said: “I’ve been given now the opportunity to have a jury trial. I’ve never had that."

In this case, he was given the choice of Magistrates or a jury trial in the Crown Court. So if I was being exceedingly generous, I might accept that all he is saying is that previously he has never had the opportunity to choose between Magistrates and a jury trial. He has, of course, previously had the opportunity to face a jury in the Crown Court on two occasions, but he chose to plead guilty instead.

He said never been tried by a jury ----or it might of been never been convicted by a jury - you will have to listen to it to find out for sure because that PDF link you gave it seems there was some malarkey about a member of the jury not being of good character and calls cor the jury to be dismissed So maybe the jury was dismissed. ?

That link was to the judgment from his appeal. It ends:

This appeal against conviction is therefore dismissed.

So he was tried and convicted by a jury and his appeal was dismissed.

Has he been treated any differently to anybody else in the same situation ?

What's interesting about it?
Its just interesting --- that's it and that's all - I found it interesting because I just assumed that he has always had jury's convict him.

Don't know what you are talking about - we are trying to find out if he has ever been convicted by a jury.

I have checked now. Tried and convicted by a jury. And then his appeal was dismissed.

If he isn't,
his supporters are.

Clever use of words, some fall for the headline.

And voila.

Right that makes sense -so he is just being a snake with words and misleading then -- he would make a brilliant politician in that case.
Note for posters thinking of just quoting the last bit and saying "aveatry thinks TR will make a brilliant politician - dont be p-ricks.

What, in the same way watching Elvis Presley performing live at The Old Vic yesterday is interesting?
Its looking like you just lost another building job today -- take it easy - dont do anything silly.

There are different types of trials. I don't see anything unusual. Apart from the number of offences.

He has had one full jury trial where he was convicted by the jury. His appeal was then dismissed

Twice in the Crown Court he has had the opportunity to face a jury but decided to plead guilty instead.

In addition there have been at least two convictions in the Magistrates Court. So, obviously no jury in these cases.

He was then sentenced three times for contempt of court. As far as I am aware, that is just by a single judge with no jury.

No. see other comments made on the subject.

At the very best, it is a clever use of wording, at worst it is clear deception. Take your pick.
