too early to mow?

made redundant today so I have time to tackle the dreaded "TO DO" list at home..

Garden fence is one of the big ones on the list, but while I'm out there the lawn could do with a mow..

I kind of neglected it last year and it was about a foot high when it was left for the winter..it has since turned yellow and fallen over as one would expect..

anyway, to the point...

is it to early to mow it and get it under some semblance of control?

 

[Symptoms]

Jack - don't walk on it until the better weather 'cos you'll compact the soil. After a few dry days go at it with a strimmer to take the 'thick' off. Let it dry a bit more before you attack it with a mower.
