Too many wires for terminal in timeswitch

Hi All,
I've had to change the timeswitch on my boiler.

I had a danfoss randall 3020p and have bought a SET2E to replace it.

It's a gravity fed system with a pump, 3 wire room thermostat and the boiler.

I've wired it up but can only do so in a temprary fashion (i.e. to test it) using a couple of connector blocks. This is because the neutral terminal is too small for the 4 neutral wires I have to connect to it.

The four neutrals are : the supply, the pump, the boiler and the stat.

I'm reluctant to use a JB or terminal blocks as a permanent installation, but can not see any other way to do this. If I did use a JB/terminal it would mean just 1 wire running to the N terminal of the timeswitch.

What is standard practice in this situation? I realise, given the 3 amp limit from the fused spur that it will probably be ok to do that, but is it the right way?

Thanks in advance...
David.

Is there not room for a piece of choc block for the N in the prog :?:

as cider says Choc block at least 50% of timeclocks wired this way in UK

Oh ! I see!

Thanks for the swift replies.

I could cut a hole in the plasterboard so the choc blocks would sit behind the timeswitch. Then run a single lead from the choc blocks to the timeswitch.

Does that sound right ?

David.
