Total Scum jailed for snapping tot's spine.

There are no words strong enough to describe my utter disdain for this piece of filth. Lock him away forever! I don't want to raise a whole death penalty debate here, personally I am against it but this guys... grrrr!!!!! I am so angry with him!!!

This whole story made me feel physically sick.

Could not agree more blasph

the whole episode makes me shudder.

the evil his image portrays is almost tangible.

the levels of cowardice within this sub-human are staggering.

i'm against the death penalty towards a fellow human being - this animal is far from human.

it is a pity he is of low intelligence, as he will not suffer the mental anguish that he deserves. there are only basic feelings this man can tolerate. i'm fairly certain he could feel physical pain.

let's hope he upsets a few prisoners hey......!

Why on earth do we not have an application process for having children?
Because:

1. It would lead to many more abortions.
2. It would lead to more children being abandoned at birth - in order to escape prosecution.
3. It would lead to back-street midwifery.
4. The only penalties available (i.e. fine, or prison, community service) for breaking such a law would be more detrimental to the children than to the parents.

So I think it's a non-starter.

I'd be interested to know how many people ignored the warning signs of impending doom.
Yeah I agree Softus except I never asked that question it was posed by craig51 and quoted by me in my response.
I've been shot down for this before, but screw it.

In this country, we need a licence to own a tv, use a car, own a gun, fly a plane, practice certain disiplines, ie medical, law etc etc.

Why on earth do we not have an application process for having children?...

As for 'how many people ignored the warning signs of impending doom'. I would also like to know. Indeed I think we NEED to know if this scum bag was on some kind of Protection Order or the like and if the poor child was on an 'At Risk' register. That will hopefully be investigated and come out in the fullness of time.

As I said earlier, I wonder how the teacher feels who made the comments about him commiting murder?

Its all just so very very sad that such a young life endured so much hate and violence.... I need to stop writing, I will say something I regret!

Adrian Waterman QC, defending, told the court how, when Howson was expelled from school as a teenager, a teacher noted in a report: "This boy will commit a murder before too long. I've never seen a such a disturbed young man."

It seems he has some mental illness of some description. I wonder how you'd describe someone who calls for someone to have a slow painful death ?

Similarly disturbed would be my guess....?

The judge also detailed the other occasions in the weeks leading up to the murder in December last year when Howson "cruelly and deliberately assaulted Amy", leaving her with multiple fractures to her arms and legs.

So they must have been known to the council or hospital. So where were the social services in all this?

I totally agree he should not have done this but he should not have been allowed to do this either..

Cheers

Whats even worse is the little angel will have been looking at him with love in her tiny heart as all children do to their parents and probably didnt understand why she hurt and why "Daddy" wasnt protecting her.

this sub-human murdered his own baby daughter.

there are few people on this planet that would feel any kind of pity if he contracted slow acting cancer that led to him enduring a slow painful death.

would you pity him r.bartlet?

He is sub human through his mental state . I haven't read the report on what mental illness he has but he was ill wasn't he?

Society should have protected him and his daughter. It was obvious from the reports he was a danger to himself and others.

There will be much hand wringing in the Social services and lots of "How could we have missed the signs?" "Oh if only we had interviened earlier" BS. We employ these people to protect the young and innocent from danger -these should be held responsible for failing that child (and the hundreds of other 'lessons to be learnt' )

Wanting someone -anyone- to die a slow painful death is suspect and I think you want revenge. Why? In what way would this help the fact that a child died in horrible circumstances?
Justice isn't about revenge which is why we all should be protected from people like you. Like those vigilanties who went on the 'let's attack a paediatrician' rampage a few years back.

So justice is about going through the 'correct procedures' with the likes of this 'person', getting Social Services involved, then the courts, then detainment and supervision for him so that he isn't able to do anything like this again ??

So that is a waste of resources for a start, resources that could be better spent elsewhere I'm sure. Yes, we do seem to have a mindset of trying to 'cure' the problem instead of preventing it in the first place. There is no doubt that this person is sub-human scum, and I can understand the feeling of hatred and contempt for him ( the missus just read the OP and nearly threw up ). This is why people are saying that they want him dead, castrated, etc.
It may not be the answer, but Mr. Bartlett, for you to say that people like you need protecting from people like noseall, I would say that, unless you are into child murder, a paedo or rapist, I don't think you will have anything to worry about a mob of vigilantes knocking your door down. When people are passionate about a subject, they react from their gut, not their head. My first reaction upon reading the OP was to hope that the sub human met a horrible end, and I still do.

Where does it say he is/was mentally ill? The Judge said he was in the lowest 1 per cent band of intelligence but there is no mention of a mental illness. Being of 'Low Intelligence' IS NOT a mental illness.
She said "Hunt was also in the lowest 1 per cent band of intelligence...".
His teacher mentioned on a school report that she thought he was 'disturbed',
a teacher noted in a report: "... I've never seen a such a disturbed young man."
Is she qualified to make a statement of mental illness?

If he was/is mentally ill why do we see no mention of it as a defence other than when Adrian Waterman QC (his defence), mentioned this school report to the court? Some old school report isn't an appraisal of a person's mental state of mind! If he IS mentally ill then lets see a report compiled by someone who IS qualified to ascertain his mental health. I find it 'interesting' that there seems to be no mention of such a report by his defence team.

As you have added a question mark to your opening statement I will assume you are indeed 'asking' if he is mentally ill. As you will note from my reply, there is NO mention of mental illness in that report and so with the FACTS available, you may assume your question has been answered. NO he is NOT mentally ill.

First of all his teacher said he was the most disturbed person they'd ever seen. Then he had a history of disturbed events. Thus he should have been known to the social services. Then the child was hurt to the extent of broken bones. Still nothing was done. So again I repeat the Social services have failed them and us by default.

You seem slightly confused there was a waste of human life instead of resources. If the social had stepped in then this could have been provented. He appears a pychopath and she was one of the 1% lowest intelligence. hardly an inspiring combination -and yet there seems little or no interest from the social services. If not then THAT is the waste of resources!

The paediatrician in question needed protection from people like him when they attacked her home..So I'm not quite so sure anyone is safe..

Self-styled vigilantes attacked the home of a hospital paediatrician after apparently confusing her professional title with the word "paedophile", it emerged yesterday.
Dr Yvette Cloete, a specialist registrar in paediatric medicine at the Royal Gwent hospital in Newport, was forced to flee her house after vandals daubed it with graffiti in the middle of the night.

The word "paedo" was written across the front porch and door of the house she shared with her brother in the village of St Brides, south Wales.

Dr Cloete, 42, confirmed she had left the property after the "distressing" attack. "For the time being I have moved out of the area because when something like this happens you just cannot feel safe in your own home.

"We removed the graffiti within hours, but what happened was terrible and it has been extremely distressing."

Gwent police confirmed that the attack last Friday night was prompted by a confusion over the words "paedophile" and "paediatrician".

This is how people react 'from the gut' Hardly civilised -or do you not care and justify their behaviour by saying they were passionate about a subject?

There was no mention of mental illness but the very fact he did those things leads me to believe he is mentally ill one way or another. The 1% was a reference to the mother BTW.

Adrian Waterman QC, defending, told the court that when Howson was expelled from school a teacher noted in a report: "This boy will commit a murder before too long. I've never seen a such a disturbed young man."

Quite perseptive of the teacher, 'disturbed' to me suggests a mental health problem.

However where were the social services and the health visitor in all this?

A spokeswoman for the Doncaster Safeguarding Children Board said an investigation would be launched into Amy's death.

Oh don't tell me -"lessons to be learnt"

The spokeswoman said: "The death of Amy and the abuse she suffered was horrendous and the parents have rightly been brought to justice.

Justice not revenge.

I'm not an apologist for child cruelty but I don't wish him a painful death for my own perverse satisfaction either

Cheers

.

Justice has always gone hand in hand with revenge today it is the retribution part of many a custodial sentence that make people want to see "revenge" taken on those who kill the young or old because they can.

You may find it troubling that people want murderers to suffer the same fate as their victims ie long slow and hopefully just as painful a death. More worrying to me, is that you cant see why this should be.

Isin't 1% of men in all male populations "pycsopaths".
Naturally born that way I mean.
Is being a pycsopath a mental illness then ?.

I saw this on one of those WW2 documentaries and this is the conclusion they came too. A lot of men would have the enemy in sight but just couldn't pull the trigger whilst this other group of individuals kill and maim without the slightest thought.
Not trying to make a comparison between the honourable guys from ww2 and this scum obviously. Just a thought thats all.
My words of contempt for this person are not printable on an open forum.

Oh so you are assuming he is mentally ill now! That's a dangerous assumption don't you think?

Some replies have suggested this ScumBag will get a 'going over' in prison. This would be far too good for this animal (sorry, animal is to good a word for him).
But remember Myra Hindley, another example of low life we supported for decades. a lot of which was in Durham prison. Whilst there, she was treated like Royalty, demanding, and getting, special diets of extremely expensive French Cheeses, given all the luxuries of life albeit with restricted freedom. She had a very high ecucation paid for by us with out any tuition fees and most of her tuition was one to one private education.
I have no doubt this piece of worthless low life will get similar anvantageous treatment paid for by us lot.
Crimes like this desrve the death penalty as these people have given up the right to life. Any 'Do Gooders' out there can call execution what they like, usually revenge killing, if thats what they want to call it then do so, but this piece of low life, has and never will qualify for human existence.
If they want a volunteer to pull the executioners lever I am sure there would be a lot more than me in the queue to do it. Execution is far too good for this Scumbag.
