We had our windows replaced. They repaired the damaged render with morter.

The house is white and painted a long time ago.

I want to touch up the morter with white paint but am worried the new paint will look bright white and look ****.

Any tips or advice would be much appreciated

You need masonry paint.

If you only paint the repaired bit and avoid painting the original render, it shouldn't look too bad.

It's when you over-do it with the paint and get it on the original part of the wall which makes it obvious someone has been touching up paintwork.

I would allow the new render to dry for three weeks, and dilute the first coat of paint slightly with water.
