Tougher controls for Christmas?

Germany have banned Christmas and Italy is doing the same. Various schools in London and the South East are going online only because of the number of cases.

The UKs cases are increasing as well, do we need to consider going to more severe restrictions or admit that the Christmas break plans are going to result in too many deaths?

Covid-19 deaths lag infections by something like 3-4 weeks. Right now we're seeing the drop in deaths because of the fewer infections during the end of the last lockdown.

In 3-4 weeks we'll see the effects of the current increases and in Mid January the Christmas hangover kicks in.

Depends on how many (whether they admit they will break the rules or not) actually do so...

And of course whether the figures are to be believed...

Deaths because of the 'virus' or deaths with the 'virus' is the question that so far remains unanswered!

Harsh on Nurses, teachers and anyone else who has to do a job where they're at risk.
