imagine this... you get a call from a women to come and wallpaper her front room on Saturday.. (no, not a euphomism !! ) So you turn up, unload the van, start measuring up, and a bloke turns up saying "nah mate, don't need you, do one..... i'm decorating !".... what do you do? (assuming you didn't react violently at this point !!!

But technically, you have a contract with the woman? do you have a contract? is it all about diplomacy?

You pack up and go home, unless you have already isued her with her cancellaton notice under ther doorstep selling regulations, and the required time period for her to cancel has expired.

Or deck him.

My days are thus numbered, if history is to be repeated  Ah well, I got nigh on 1K posts this time round

I don't see why your days should be numbered Cantaloup, when you see the trash that "Gertrollop" is getting away with. He should have been kicked out long ago!!
I never respond to him.

Well:

(a) To err is human, but to forgive on here is nigh on impossible and way above "divine".

(b) My emulation of mindless and thuggish trolling last night did push the boundaries somewhat. Having tried it out, I really can't see the attraction of it, so I'll give geraint that one; it's a hole in my imagination that he doesn't have (although to be fair, I'm not entirely convinced I'm worse off for not being able to get pleasure from that sort of homophobic and desultory behaviour).
