I recently bought an endoscope (2 metre cable version) for the grand sum of £1.52 including shipping from China !) and also found it kept losing the USB connection, when used with my Moto G14 phone and the manufacturer-suggested AN CAMERA app. However, when using the nExt CAMERA app (free of ads btw) the app reported that the phone was too slow for the received video feed and suggested reducing the resolution using the apps settings. That solved the problem, at the expense of a somewhat grainy but still acceptable image.
Got mine today, works OK on my Pixel9a, build quality is not so great, the bit where you can press the button to take a picture or adjust the light intensity seems to be coming apart. (not a problem for me).
Just about happy with the Toolstation one.
The "end" is fatter with the mirror attached.
Resolution isn't great, nowhere near a phone camera, but just about adequate for most things.
There's no case, it'll have to live in its box which is bulky.
I can see me 3D printing a clip system so I can attach mine to my cable rods (although electrical tape will do, I have to make use of this printer lol).
