Grohe air button (EAU2 dual flush) stopped flushing the toilet. Button seemed to be working (blowing air) but could not move the valve by blowing. I had a spare discharge valve which I have fitted - bottom cradle with O ring into the base of the cistern, then bayonet fitting of discharge valve onto cradle. Refill cistern, leak tight all OK. Valve still wont open by blowing. Flush toilet by lifting the central columns, then water leaking out of the bottom of the cistern all over the floor. Not just a bit, a lot!

What have I done wrong? And should it be possible to open these valves by blowing or do I need to change the air button first?
