How would you feel if an ex accused you of rape etc. some 25 years after the fact?
How would you go about defending yourself? Do you think it was possibly for you to have a fair trial?
If you were a Juror sitting on a 25 year old Rape criminal allegation, would you feel that someone saying he did it and telling a friend or two was enough to secure a conviction?
How do you know there was not consent? Because she said so.... 25 years later!
I have never had an ex accuse me of rape. If one did, my default response would be "OMG, I would never rape anyone". Trump's was "she's not my type".
I have never bragged that I am entitled to assault women.
If, as a juror, I heard that two witnesses confirm that they were told about the rape a couple of days after the incident, yeah, I might believe them. Trump had an opportunity to testify, he decided not to. Why?
He was accused of sexual assault on an airplane by another witness. He could have proven that he wasn't sitting next to the accuser, again, he didn't contest the fact that he was seated next to the accuser.
Trump was given an opportunity to submit a DNA sample. If it didn't match the DNA on her coat, the case would have been tossed. He refused to do so...
Consent? Again, I go back to his, "she's not my type". And I will remind you that Trump has stated at least three times (in public) that he does not need consent.
1. The Access Hollywood tape- which he called "locker talk"
2. The deposition- he said that women have allowed famous men to grab them for "millions of years"
3. A TV interview where he doubled down on each of the above after the fact.
The guy is a nepo baby, became a millionaire by the age of 11(?) because Fred Trump was tax evading and putting money in his kids' accounts. Fred and Mary Trump couldn't handle Donnie, so they sent him off to a military school
