Trumps Gaza peace deal?

America has leverage over Israel, U.K. does not.

Please try and post with a modicum of intelligence, there’s a good chap
True. We cannot underplay the fact Trump has the benefit of being president of thee United States of America and all that affords. However if we're being honest, so did Biden and I don't think he made much inroads? Would we have been in the same position now (or somewhere near) if Biden had remained in power, or if Harris had got in? I have my doubts, serious doubts.

And he used it. So what? You won’t be happy of course.
You claimed our government is “weak and pathetic” by comparison with USA.

I presume it was an opportunity to attack Labour, but the fact is UK has no leverage over Israel.

Biden was proud to be a Zionist. But he wasn't a Jew.
Although I think he might have been more sympathetic to the accusations of genocide, starvation and war crimes.

Here we go, shoehorning Brexit into yet another thread.
Says the spiv who brings immigrants into any discussion...

Difference is brexit does have an impact on the (diminishing) power of the UK in the world ;)

No we haven’t and probably even less now as we strengthened the case for Hamas.

I don't suppose Hamas had any respect for UK, after telling UK that they were no danger to UK, or any other foreign country. That there struggle was only against the occupation of Palestine by Israel.
Yet UK still declared them as terrorists, just like they deemed Sinn Fein to be terrorists during the Troubles.

Please could you explain how

The previous negotiations with Hamas broke down in July, on the day Macron announced France was to recognise Palestine as a state. This was followed by others including UK and the US openly stated this move emboldened Hamas and hindered peace talks.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc, says Highwayman.
Just googled it and it still doesn’t make any sense. Anyways I am quite sure I didn’t say that unless I was having a fit or something.

Not by Hamas, In fact Hamas imprisoned those it caught firing rockets at Israel.

So the breaking of the ceasefire was not the fault of Hamas. And Israel (and USA) used the firing of rockets by a non-Hamas group to recommence the genocide.
