TRV problem.

    TRV always on, any ideas why, pin is OK moves up and down?

    Head is knackered, it isn't pushing down on the pin when it should be.

    As it is an old RBM valve can you suggest a head that will fit or are they universal, thanks.

    Nope, certainly not universal, it all depends on the size/type of valve fitting, though you do get adapters for most types of valve.

    Therefore am I correct in thinking that I need a plumber to fit a completely new valve?
    I had a quote a few weeks ago to replace 5 valves which was £450 seemed a bit expensive to me that is why I am trying to just change the faulty heads.

    The adapter fits onto the top of the old valve and allows a more modern TRV head to be fitted. Danfoss and Drayton, amongst others, do adapters for their heads
