Trying to fit surrey valve into hot tank

I've just installed a new 22mm feed to where a 2 bar shower pump is to be installed from the hot tank. I bought a surrey flange expecting it to screw in, but this doesn't seem to be the case.

I have a supercal 900x450 hot tank.

Any suggestions?

If you don't use the immersion heater.......

Essex flange?

I like having the immersion as a backup.
Yeah think it will have to be an Essex flange. Was hoping to avoid it, as I've heard they're fiddly and prone to leaking.
