Trying to replace our Scottish Power Climote CH/HW controller with a Hive unit.

I can perform some basic electrical tasks but this is possibly beyond me? ...I'm after some advice as to whether this is possible as a DIY task or if I need to call someone in.

Basically there are many more wires currently in place including some additional internal connections within the Climote unit.

I attach various photos of what I have and the wiring diagram of the Hive unit I'm trying to install.

Thanks in advance

It can probably be done.
The Hive has some of the connections internally, so the brown links L-1-2-5 are not needed on the Hive.

N, L and E are the same on both units.

It would appear the existing unit is configured to use the 'living' terminal for CH, 'bed' terminals for hot water control, and what is labelled as 'water' isn't used for anything, presumably because it's a Y plan system with a 3 port valve.
In which case:
3 red is CH on
6 yellow is HW on
7 brown is HW off.
CH off is not used.
