Turbo Problem on Mercedes A Class Diesel

Hi all,

I had someone replace the gearbox on my A170D and after he did it, the car seems to have no turbo.

It is flat / slow and struggles to get to 70 on motorway.

The EML is on (didn't come on till following day) and my fault reader states to codes which I expect or linked. 'EGR flow problem' (paraphrased) and 'Wastegate controller low' (paraphrased).

I am thinking something has not been reconnected - possibly electrical.

Could you give me any ideas where to look? I am not to good with engines, I would rather not pay someone else unless I have to and I don't want to take it back to the guy who did the gearbox, he is too unrealiable.

Any assistance appreciated.

thanks!

Lift the acoustic cover from the top of the engine (presumably it has one) and look around for a loose black rubber pipe, floating around in the exhaust manifold / turbocharger area. The pipe size is around 10mm diameter.
