I’m look at putting a hikvision DS-2CD2385G1-I turret camera on a wall. This will cover the back door and the path leading up to it.
If I were to put this type of camera on a vertical wall looking horizontally across, wouldn’t the picture be 90 degrees out? Can you turn the black face with the lens on it 90 degrees?
Thanks in advance.

Personally would put it on the underside of the soffit you can put the joint in the cavity then, it would also bring it off the wall abit.

As for the angel depends on the lense but you will not need it to be a full 90 degrees with a 2.8mm lense the camera will be around 45 degrees pointing out from the wall. At a full 90 half your image will be wasted looking at a wall and the infrared glare off the wall will mess your night image up.
