Recently fixed a combi where the job went on a bit and the girlie had to go out, leaving me to finish and "shut the door behind me".
Boiler was in the bathroom, and it's hot, so I shoved the Velux window, in the steeply pitched 2nd floor roof, open a bit more. She said it wasn't open before.
Rinsed my hands and just picked up the bottom of the towel on the crooked, single bar type towel rail. It was "fixed" with p'board spring toggles which hadn't got room to spring open, so were just sitting in square holes, badly crumbled. So the rail fell on the floor. I pushed the "fixings" back in the holes.
Of course she said it was fixed perfectly to the wall before I was there.
Got a call from her later to ask if I'd opened the Velux, because "a burglar had climbed in through it and stood on the towel rail". She'd called the police but they wouldn't send a SOCO because nothing was taken...
BARKING.
