Tv aerial help

Guys!

I've moved into new house. No aerial cable in living room. There is definitely an aerial on house and tv upstairs has signal via coax cable. There is some sort of splitter in the loft where that cable goes.

The living room does have what Google tells me is a aerial wall plate?

So my question is can just run a coax from that wall plate to the tv and pick up aerial signal ?

Yes, assuming it is actually connected. That is the idea of having axwall plate - to make things neater whether it's in use or not.
