Need you advice guys....

I not moved into the flat. I spent a few hours glossing woodwork in bedroom and living room on Friday gone.

I looked up and saw a crack in the ceiling which went the whole length of the living room ceiling!!

Thing is, report I had said asbestos detected in every ceiling. So, I grabbed all my tools and left the flat. Handed keys back.

Contacted council guy. He is demanding I pay rent even though I not lived in there and to me, because of that crack in an asbestos detected ceiling it's uninhabitable.

The guy has booked maintenance to check the crack in the ceiling in 2 weeks time!! They still want me to pay rent even though I can't live there!!

I want to fight that. I don't think I should be paying rent on a place I can't live in..

You should move back in. This is your anxiety taking control. Stable asbestos is very very low risk.
