****ty life

It'll be hard for you, but at least she has the opportunity which quite frankly is now lacking in the UK...

Ours are thriving abroad, and fingers crossed they never choose to move back here...

But then they unlike their peers still enjoy the freedom of movement that was taken for granted for decades before it was removed!
This is what I am hoping. That my daughter will decide to live in Canada. Much better than the UK...

Well, I have been offered a job transfer to Bideford. My current employer has premises there. Same contract. Same hours......I have until next Tues to decide.

I am extremely anxious about it now.

Only because of my daughter. I miss her now and I only live 4 miles from her!!!!!!

Plus, my brother can be so ruddy moody! Lol......but, I can't find a place to live here!!!!! Try as I might, I just can't.......too expensive and students galore.....brother doesn't want rent but I not living there for nowt.

I trying to get my head around living 300 miles away from my bestest friend ever, my heartbeat, my girl .......:(:(:(:(

Could you afford a smallish camper van?

There are far worse places to be. Rental other than your brothers won't be easy, holiday lets make private rental scarce and more expensive.
I know. Trying to find a place is extremely difficult.

The only thing killing me is the fact that it would feel like I am deserting my daughter! She wants me to go to Devon but it is eating me up inside thinking I will be leaving her...........

I got to decide by Tues next week my manager said...

THis any good?

CHeaper at 550, 1 bed though, https://rentaros.co.uk/property-details/bideford-ex39/1-bedroom-flat-not-specified-for-rent/912925

Wish I had a daughter. Does she get on with her uncle? At least you'd be in the same patch.
Where you are now will feel different once she's off lawyering. SHe'll be leaving you, and you'll want her to go - sort of. Hard.

You could take up your brother's offer for a while, see how it goes and see what you can find. Cheap rent in return for doing a few things for him, not so bad, You could get carer's allowance, but you have to be earning under 204/week net after tax etc. Looked at PIP for yourself? it depends how far you can walk, basically. A lot of people qualify for the lower bands.
If you have 3 legs or something you'd be a shoe-in, as it were...

My brother is in Devon - too far to get to now. He has 2 daughters, both abroad, but he's in frequent contact, with apps like Twitface and Whatsnap or something like that. It's not as small a world as it was.
Canada's no picnic these days, but this place is indeed going to the cats.

Anxiety? Well sorting out my late wife's stuff is doing my head in. Ought to do this, ought to do that...

A shower would be nice but I can't stand long enough. A bit daunting with everything hard and slippery. I use a motorised brush on a stick.

Best of luck! Biggest step you'll ever take, is getting out of a rut.
