Still quite a bit, on biscuits, and doesn't look great tbf.

Wish I had a daughter. Does she get on with her uncle? At least you'd be in the same patch.
Where you are now will feel different once she's off lawyering. SHe'll be leaving you, and you'll want her to go - sort of.
Hard.

You could take up your brother's offer for a while, see how it goes and see what you can find. Cheap rent in return for doing a few things for him, not so bad, You could get carer's allowance, but you have to be earning under 204/week net after tax etc. Looked at PIP for yourself? it depends how far you can walk, basically. A lot of people qualify for the lower bands.
If you have 3 legs or something you'd be a shoe-in, as it were...

My brother is in Devon - too far to get to now. He has 2 daughters, both abroad, but he's in frequent contact, with apps like Twitface and Whatsnap or something like that. It's not as small a world as it was.
Canada's no picnic these days, but this place is indeed going to the cats.

Anxiety? Well sorting out my late wife's stuff is doing my head in. Ought to do this, ought to do that...

A shower would be nice but I can't stand long enough. A bit daunting with everything hard and slippery. I use a motorised brush on a stick.

Best of luck! Biggest step you'll ever take, is getting out of a rut, they tell me.
Thank you my friend...good advice.

My brother won't take rent off of me he said so, I would help him with bills.

My daughter is very enthusiastic about me moving there. She has one year left in the UK for Uni and then one year in Canada Uni and then back to UK for final year in UNI.

I have 4 legs so can't claim pip.

Just got home from work. Only work approx 4 hrs and it's a killer on my feet, knees and back!! I was thinking that if I moved in with my brother and had to give up work that may be more beneficial for me too....

You are right. I need to get out of this gigantic 9 year rut I have been in since I got divorced. I have lived in 9 houses in that time too....horrible..

Thank you anyway. I have to decide by Tues next week according to my manager.

You wouldn't be deserting her, she wants you to go. I would love to live in Devon and as a bonus they make the best custard. This could be a great option for you in your current situation. One day your daughter will fly away and live her own life in the same way as you have to do. Living with your brother is a great way to look upon as being a temporary solution. Everyone has to lead their own lives, it isn't abandoning anyone it is circumstance that dictates your next move.
I agree with you 100%, even if you have got naff legs!!...lol

I am leaning towards living with my brother. He is an old dog though. Stuck in his ways. Can be very moody too. I would have to bite my collar and stay quiet.
