****ty life

I did cruising for Queen and Country for 27 years and the Mrs is always trying to get me on a cruise. I have done 2, the baltic capitals and 3 nights on Virgins Scarlet Lady - talk about a booze cruise, they are party animals and I struggled to keep up. Managed it but it was a struggle.
Yes the drinks package helps with that problem. I drink vodka from waking up to going to bed late in the evenng. Marvelous things.

We had an all inclusive TUI holiday in Crete last year and a TUI (Marella) cruise this year and found them to be excellent.

Sorry to hear of your situation. Hope you're ok.
Not belittling your circumstances at all but, I know how you feel, up to a point.
I had 18 months off work with anxiety and depression then never went back.
I refused drugs.
I did however, speak to a therapist weekly for the 18 months. Not an NHS one, they were useless. A private one. It was a perfect space to say anything, everything and nothing. It was a godsend.
I walked the dog. Big long walks. I sat and stared into space like a zombie, for hours. I couldn't think straight. I wasn't fun to be with at all.
I counted my blessings. List daily, three things to be grateful for.
Eventually the fog cleared.
I found another project that I could do with my days. I was lucky that I didn't have to go back to the same workplace.
For me, exercise, fresh-air and big open-spaces was/is my saviour.
Yes, I'm one of those 'lyra-clad w@nkers' that everyone moans about but, it's my sanity place. Nothing more to say.

Get well soon.
I see you.

I'm on that path.
I am a bit odd, not sociable, problably on a spectrum or three.
I was getting depressed even before my wife died.
Now, I don't have anything to get up for. Loads of things going wrong; can't walk, CBA to get a wheelchair, a hundred and something pills a week. GP asked if I wanted to see someone.
She asked if I'd ever thought about ending my life, so I said "well, sometimes, obviously".
Did I want to see someone?
Yeah, maybe, I said.
Now the buggers won't leave me alone. They want to turn up every day. It's nearly always two fat African women. I sent most away.
They sit there - always different people, asking the same questions.
Useless.
I suppose I could go private, but I've done it all before. CBA.
