if you are connecting a new piece of wall to old then use a wall starter.

these are quite versatile and save time in the long run

Good question, I've just built a garden wall and I've probable gone over the top with wall-ties.
Just what is the recommended spacing for ties?

750mm horizontally and 450mm vertically.

it is wise to include more ties on a more vulnerable piece of birickwork, using ties every 225mm or every third course of bricks.

thank you for your advice had building regs man round today well happy thankyou.
