U value calls

Hi all,

I have just got my plans back from control with a note stating that because my window area is more than 25% of the floor area I need to suit U value calls. I know they are insulation values but how do I calculate them and what do I need value wise??

I am doing a 4*4 single story extension with a vaulted hip roof and two sky lights.

Did they ask for 'SAP calcs'?

I need to suit U value calls.

Should that be "submit u-value calculations"

If so the method is in the Part L document, but unless you are an accredited assessor, any calculations may not be accepted

Sorry , yes submit!! They asked for either SAP Or U value calcs, what is the difference??
