Ukraine counter offensive

Whereas Russian sources are always truthful and honest?
The Russians are notorious liars but that doesn't make their opponents honest.
The Ukranian army doesn't exactly have clean hands either.
Non-governmental organisations, such as Amnesty International, raised concerns about the behaviour of some Ukrainian volunteer battalions. Amnesty International said that they often acted like "renegade gangs", and were implicated in torture, abductions, and summary executions.[

One major difference is that there are independent western reporters in Ukraine, there are no independent reporters on the Russian side, and there is also the fact that satellite technology allows various open source websites to track and document military actions by both sides. And guess what? The Russians are easily shown to be outright liars when it comes to pretty much everything to do with what they say their military has achieved. From losses, to successes (like the Bradley fighting vehicles they claimed to have destroyed before any had actually arrived in Ukraine, or their claims to have destroyed more HIMARS units than the Ukrainians have received, and so on and so forth) every time a Russian politician or spokesperson opens their mouth all that gushes forth seems to be a torrent of lies and half-truths

The Ukranian army doesn't exactly have clean hands either.
But unlike the Russian military they haven't deliberately targeted civilian infrastructure (e.g hospitals, schools, railway stations, etc) in contravention of both the Geneva Convention and the UN Charter to which they are signatories. The difference in scale of illegal behaviour between the two militaries is enormous. So please don't conflate lying with military actions this way

Your pro-Russian views would probably have you believing that the Ukrainians brought the Holodomor on themselves

What evidence do you have that the Russians "deliberately" attacked hospitals, schools ect.
Do you believe NATO has never attacked civilian infrastructure during their bombing campaigns.
Amenesty international produced a report highlighting the Ukrainian armies use of civilian infrastructure to launch attacks against the Russians.
Amnesty International also produced a report on alleged Russian atrocities.
Their Russian report was used by the Ukranian government and their backers as primary source evidence of Russian war crimes.
However when they produced their report on Ukranian misbehavior, the same people who had previously used their Russian report as concrete evidence of Russian crime, then, denounced Amnesty as incompetent or at worst pro Putin.

. And you claim Ukraine are using unfair tactics
Not me mate.

Russia's latest wheeze is to shell people being rescued from the the floods. Lovely people that they are.

. There is only one person to blame for this, and he could stop it all tomorrow
It takes two to Tango.
Their needs to be a negotiated settlement.
First the west needs to recognise that Ukraine is not a homogeneous state.
The borders that Zelensky is fighting to preserve, were created by the people with whom he is at war .
Modern Ukraine was created to serve the purposes of the Soviet empire, once that empire dissolved the cracks started to appear.
Ukraine isnt unique in this respect, the Indian subcontinent fractured along ethnic and religious lines as soon as the British left.
Cyprus, Sri Lanka, Kosovo and even Ireland are examples of this process.
The only alternative to a negotiated settlement is full scale war.
The only problem with the above is that the working class put a higher value on their kids lives, than maybe previous generations.
Young people these days want to would rather have a job, buy a house and go on holiday.
