Ukraine counter offensive

What percentage of those on benefits is that?

Maybe you mean:
People with progressive diseases
People born disabled
People with terminal cancer
Women suffering mental illness due to domestic violence
People trapped into caring for relatives
The 750,000 who are on NHS waiting list
Come on, everybody, me included, agrees that genuinely needy people should get state support. But there's no doubt plenty of benefit claimants should not be getting it.

What’s your solution
Leave or ignore the ICJ and UNHCR, and turn the boats back. Australia con do it. And tighten up the law to stop crazy rulings like people can't be deported because they have a pet cat, or don't like Caribbean food. Or men with a wife and several children claiming to be gay.

On the subject of Refugees and asylum seekers, there is a simple solution to the problem which is plain to see. Stop creating them by stopping the wars. It is crazy in this day and age to start these wars, it is the politicians that cannot get along and not the people.

"No doubt plenty of people....."

Please could you define "plenty"

Are we talking 0.01% of people on benefits,

Most important things aren't easy
It's not the most important thing.

Since 2010 wages for ordinary people have flat lined whilst the wealthiest have seen huge gains in their wealth.

Wealth inequality
NHS waiting lists
Housing crisis

Are all more important than asylum seekers crisis

Ukrainians have a genuine case to be here. But not people who claim they've fled from persecution but go back to that country for a holiday.
On that basis there will be one hell of a lot more coming over in the light of the deal currently being foisted on them

The actual figure of wrongly assigned benefits would probably cost more to fix than is actually paid out.

It's such a grey area, but it always gets highlighted as a major issue.

Why have NONE of the previous governments ever addressed it ?

Who created the Ukraine issue ?

But the general point you make is right.

Extremeism is what creates wars though, look at history.

U.K. won’t turn back boats because it’s illegal and border force operatives risk criminal charges if they do it and a death occurs. Priti Patel tried push backs and couldn’t provide guarantees border force would be protected from any charges.

By the way you can’t deport people without agreement with the return destination

It’s actually very hard to get benefits these days.

That's why there can never be a sensible discussion about it. People just make nonsense up.
