With the special operation about to be redesignated as a counter terrorist campaign, Russia should take a page from the USA/EU/GB Operation Manual. They came up with this ingenious invention called "war on terror" by which they simply gave themselves the power to act, intervene and wage war anywhere in the world often against countries or people who never laid a hand on USA/EU/GB.

Not a very special operation though,100,000 dead orcs, how would they fare in a real war.

so was it a special military operation or anti Nazi s or anti terrorism which all imply leaving the area after "sorting the issue"?

Vlad the invader is the biggest terrorist going. Invaded nations have the right to defend themselves against tinpot dictators.

This could be counterproductive for putin though, it could lead to unrest in Belarus, with a risk of spreading into russia, maybe now would be good time for Poland to show a bit of force on the Belarussian border.

At this point Putin can't declare war because it would be obvious there's nothing he can do to boost the conventional war.

Most weatern leaders are concerned about the reaction of their populations over time. Gemany has no problems with that at the moment and probably wont in the near future. One eastern european country is having problems but no idea of the size of the demo's / public opinion. Those seem to have worse inflation problems.

All this twa tter about various EU countries is a bit pointless really.

They have reduced russian gas usage from 41% to 7.5%.

Americans have opened up a military training camp in Germany specifically to train the Ukranians
