Ukraine counter offensive

Over a million Russians dead now.
Really? I thought it was more like a quarter of that, there's supposed to be around a million facilities but that's including civilians and 80k Ukrainian soldiers.

In all honesty we just don’t know.

Estimates for Russian military deaths are anywhere between 400,000 and 800,000 with a million reached sometime in 2025 (so yes I was exaggerating)

Some figures refer to “number of losses”, some refer to “killed and injured”

My guess would be well over 1 million deaths in total and far more Russian than Ukrainian

Technically a 'casualty' is anyone who isn't fit to fight the next day, it's the metric most often used. It's very possible for a soldier to be a casualty multiple times if they're able to recuperate, or if Russia makes them assault on crutches.

In WW1, France had more casualties than it did soldiers.

Because they would be wounded, patched up, sent back, wounded again, patched up and sent back again until eventually killed or demobilised.

Trumpists like to call Frenchmen "surrender monkeys."

France lost about 1.4 million war dead, and over 4% of the total population.

USA around a hundred thousand.

Trump refused to attend the 100-year WW1 Remembrance ceremony in France because it was raining. Perhaps he thought his bone spurs would hurt.

Very few people remember the sacrifices made by many french to allow our soldiers to leave Dunkirk

The Ukranian territory occupied by the Russians
Will contain many mass graves of Ukranian civilians that have been executed / tortured by poo tins army ;)

One of the reasons they don’t want to leave

All this talk from numerous defence 'experts' and politicians over recent years about less troops being required because 'modern warfare won't require boots on the ground.'

It didn't seem to be the strategically correct approach to me.

And now here we are ...
Gaza was bombed to rubble but ' boots on the ground were still required to take territory' that's when the IDF took casualties.

Casualties such as an unarmed Palestinian grandmother holding a white flag in one hand and her small grandson's hand in the other.
