Hello looking for a bit of advice about the frame for an under stairs cupboard.

I have oak flooring down which goes right under the stairs. Can I put the framework onto this rather than lifting and attaching to the floorboards?

If I was to lift it the problem is that the flooring would need to be lifted beyond where the doors would be as where the framing would sit is in the middle of a section.

I've added a pic to help. Thanks

drill a 16-25mm hole through the oak wherever you want to put a screw through the frame

Trouble will arise if you (or someone else) want to change the flooring in the future. Since you'll presumably be sawing bits of wood to make the cupboard, couldn't you also saw the flooring?
