Hi All,

I am trying to build a under stairs storage space with doors. I thought it started OK until I came to do the shelves. I had to do a lot of cutting to get them to fit as I adjusted the heights. This led to the uprights in the wrong place the ends of the shelves no longer on the cross struts for support. So I had to put extra battons to support the ends.

I now need to fit some doors, nothing fance, 12mm FDF, might stick sone moulding on the suface later.

My problem is fitting the doord and hinges. Should I fit small panels or one folding panels and how and where to I fit the hinges so its all flush?

From my inexperienced eyes, it looks like the extra battons I put in afterward will be stopping the doors going in.

You advice and suggestions please.

Kitchen hinges on 18mm MDF off the centre post ?
12mm is about the same price but very poor for hinges.

Thanks for your reply foxhole, I dont have any specialised tools.
Is there any surface mount alternative? I was planning on supporting the hing screws with strip of timber from the inside.
