hi,
I am insulating under a suspended wooden ground floor. The air bricks are laid on the DPC with a brick sized vent opposite the air brick on the internal wall. The bottom of the joists are also at the same level, sitting on the DPC.

So if I Insulate between joists with mineral wool the vents will be covered.

Is there a recommended way of working around the vents so that they still do their job and the insulation works as it should?

I am thinking of maybe some sort of guard in front of the vent that directs the air down below the insulation or just stop short of the vent if it doesn’t impact the performance to much.

I have searched but haven’t seen a similar thread yet.

Use chicken wire (not nuggets) to form a barrier to hold the mineral wool in place but preventing a restriction to the vent.
