I have just fitted a bath, however the walls are uneven, leaving a large V shaped gap at the tap end (20mm gap), has anyone got any advise on this one. many thanks
Gripfill a piece of board to underside of bath..........then later fill above with tile adhesive and run line of tiles horizontal from bath top to wall
I don't think builders have even heard of the terms 'Straight', 'Level', 'Plumb' or 'Right Angle'
Did you chase the edges of the bath into the plaster? That might gain, say, 10mm or more. Once the tiles are fixed that will lose about another 6 - 8 mm, so your gap is down to a few millimetres.
Mind the gap behind the taps isnt reduced so you jam your fingers when turning them.
Otherwise, as Nige F says, fix a board or batten in the gap, and tile over it.
