Hi i'm a long time lurker but first time poster so please go easy on me :D
my wife turned on the unidentified shower last night and water started pouring from the back of the shower I have searched around to try identify the issue and believe it may be a blown pressure relief valve we did replace the hose although not the shower head as the standard hose was a bit short i'm thinking this may be the cause as when I took the cover off a sticker inside said only use original hose and shower head provided with the shower I did not install this shower my self and know nothing about it all i can tell you is it is 9.5kw Im hoping with all your worldly experience you might be able to help me identify this shower many thanks in advance

Sounds like a pressure relief valve problem. Sorry, can't ID the make.

But I would advise you sheath that joined earth wire below the chocblock.

Thanks for confirming what I thought re sheathing the earth is one more thing to add to the list of repairs the person that previously owned the house was definitely a cowboy

Thats a Gainsborough shower.

PRD - short - PT N0 201-00731. about £10 + postage

make sure you sort the problem ie the damaged hose or blocked head or
you'll blow the new prd straight away. ;)

It is indeed a gainsborough 9.5E I did post a reply to say I had finally found it but for some reason it has disappeared I removed the PRD and the rubber ball had just popped out pushed it back in put it back together good as new thanks for all your replies much appreciated
