Unsure how to fix this / or what with

Hi all

Whilst we're not up to much at the moment, I've been given the job to maintain the soffits and guttering. As you can see, I've got something missing up the top, and am unsure how to fix it. I was thinking of running a thinner soffit under all the way up, and then some cement to fill in?

Looks like a verge to me. Thin Piece of Perspex similar thickness to what’s in, then sand and cement at a ratio of 3 sand to 1 cement.

The undercloak is plain tiles, there is a couple need replaced.
Under the original verge looks like cement fibre board or similar...dont know why they have put that in.

Thankyou! This is a 1960's house, built by a local builder who had pretty much the same quality as redrow..
