Unvented cylinder - documentation

Strictly speaking it should be the chap who installed it is the one to sign but TBH as long as you have a correct certificate now then that's all you want.

Now it's time to ensure that the warranty is in place. :ROFLMAO:
Thanks.

I spoke to the manufacturer directly they won't consider it even given the circumstsances.

If it goes faulty I'll just have to go through small claims court with the installer.

I'm more relieved it was installed by someone who was qualified at least.

OK - that garbage but I can understand their position, as the installer didn't follow a simple process. Would they not even consider getting one of their engineers out to service the cylinder and then (re) instate the warranty, then pass on the cost to the installer?

If not then I'd pass that information onto the installer/builder in writing (signed for) and let them know that they will be liable for any specific warranty costs if the need arises in the future as due to their inaction that the warranty isn't in place.

TBH though, the customer could also feasibly register their own installation but it's obviously a bit late now.

I asked that - they don't have a "service" team.

Yeah I'll do something along those lines. I mean the main bit is the cylinder would have had a 25 year warranty on it. Can't really see that going faulty! I think pumps, vessels etc were 5 years.

Yeah had I had the manual in the first place we wouldn't be here, as it explains in there how to register it. Interestingly enough it seems none of the houses on the estate (50+) have had anything signed off.

Oh well. Now all this is sorted back to finding a G3 person to find out why there's a water hammer in-between the multibloc and EV!!
