It makes little difference as the part that fails is the plastic section that the spindle runs through inside the valve. Its the same on the brass and the plastic version.

It's funny you mention that because that's along the lines of what I mentioned to the engineer when he installed it yesterday morning.

We charge £245+ vat supply and fit, and the plastic one is just as reliable as the brass, as said probably **** in the system caused it
