I have a 1987 renault 5 TL. I have been using a lead replacement additive in my petrol eg redex.

Recently I have noticed that this form of redex is disappearing from the shelves. Is it appropriate to use normal redex additive in its place.

Do I actually need to put in an additive. Can I just use lead free petrol. It seems to drive OK with it.

I only do around 3000 miles a year and as I drive mainly in town I dont usually go more than 40 mph

Have a mechanic ****** ignition timing to suit unleaded. You shouldnt need to use an additive.
