Hi all,
I wonder if anyone can offer some help.

We have an old shower at the back of the house and would like to put the washing machine in there.
The shower base raised and I wondered if it is possible to use the shower drain as the washing machine waste.
I would want to run the waste pipe down under the machine and into the shower drain. It’s possible as it is raised and would build a platform for the washing machine.

I just don’t know if this would be ok and you may just say… don’t be an idiot it’s not possible but it would be the easiest solution and I wondered if it is something that’s possible and if anyone has some tips or ideas.

thank you for any help you can give.

Putting the washing machine waste hose into a standpipe and trap ,and connecting the trap outlet to the existing waste pipework of shower would be fine.
