I am hoping to install two of the below ceiling lamps as additional lighting in my bedroom (as an alternative to bedside lamps). I am installing them next to where the old water heater was situated. The FCU that supplied the water heater is still in place and I was wondering if it would be feasible to use this to supply the two lamps, changing the fuse in the FCU to a 3 amp. It is on a 15amp MCB (RCD protected).

Thanks in advace. Kev.

Thanks EFL. Yes there is a loft above. The lighting circuit is in steel conduit so a bit more work involved to take a feed from. The water heater FCU is almost in the perfect position for a switch and to run a feed from to the lights.

Do you have a thatched roof? It was the first thing that sprung to mind when you mentioned conduit in the loft.

That's ok then, wiring under a thatched roof needs to be protected from rodents chewing on the cable which could start a fire.
