Using UK laptop in USA

Hi,

I was wondering if I can still use my UK laptop transformer and simply just use a US adapter on the plug to power the laptop, would it still work OK or would I have to buy a US adaptor when I get there?

The text on the transformer states...

Input 100-240V ~ 15A 50-60Hz
Output : Total 90W

That 'transformer' - which is actually a switch-mode PSU - will work just fine in the US. All you need is the right adapter for it and it doesn't really matter whether you buy one here or there. I would get one here. It might cost a bit more (or not) but I'd know I had it.
