hello.

Would anyone know how to change the kw output on this boiler. The heating is working perfect but the hot water is only getting luke warm. when the hot water is in by itself the temp on the boiler shoots up quickly then knocks off and the fault code s54 appears. I want to make sure the output is on its maximum because the boiler sizing is borderline.

Anyone and ideas.
Many thanks in advance

you dont want increase it, you want to "decrease" it. The hot water circuit obviously cant absorb the heat being sent to it. Either there is a restriction in the circuit or you have a very old cylinder with a low rated coil

yes but there are 9 rad which roughly work out at 15kw. so if i decrease it then will it not be giving enough out for the hot water aswel?

well there in lies your problem. I take it this has been like this from new? you may need to replace the hot water cylinder for one with a bigger coil. Or as i said there may be a restriction/flow issue on the hw circuit

the hot water was working pefect on a gravity system until it was changed to a fully pumped system.i doubt there is restriction because it was working fine until the boiler was changed a month ago

is there a valve on the return from the cylinder?is it fully open?
